Zelalem Mekonnen
The primary goal of my research focuses on soil–plant–atmosphere interactions to understand how ecosystems respond to shifting environmental conditions. My current projects include modeling processes driving changes in plant functional types and associated feedback, as well as the effects of plant and microbial water stress and disturbances on nutrient cycling and ecosystem productivity.
