Dr. Yuxin Wu is a Staff Scientist and the Geophysics Department Head in the Earth & Environmental Sciences Area at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His research focuses on developing and applying novel geophysical methods to energy and environment-related topics. His current research interests and topics include (1) geophysical monitoring of coupled thermo-hydro-michanical-biogeochemical processes in the subsurface, (2) novel technologies supporting co-design and integrated design for cost reduction and environmental sustainability of floating offshore wind, (3) novel geophysical sensing approaches using electrical, electromagnetic (EM) and distributed fiber optic sensing technologies, with applications in critical mineral prospecting, geological resource prospecting, and waste storage, and (4) the development of novel imaging and sensing approaches for applications in agriculture, biofuel and carbon dioxide removal.
