I’m a Staff Scientist specializing in earth system predictions. I focus on how natural ecosystems respond to environmental changes as well as natural hazards such as wildfire and extreme heat/drought, leveraging a combination of process-based models and AI/ML. My work aims to improve our ability to predict earth system behaviors, while clarifying the mechanistic drivers that enable those predictions, from the molecular scale to the Earth system scale.
