Qing Zhu

I am a Staff Scientist specializing in ecosystem biogeochemistry and the responses of ecosystems to environmental changes and disturbances, such as fires, extreme heat, and droughts. I develop a combination of cutting-edge process-based models and innovative machine learning approaches to unravel the complexities of ecosystem–environment interactions. My overarching goal is to advance our understanding of how carbon and nutrients cycle through ecosystems and their intricate interplay, from the molecular scale to the earth system scale.
